Dish Boxes are made of 'double-walled' (two layers) of corrugated material and so are stronger than regular 'single-walled' boxes. This extra strength makes them more suitable for fragile items (it also makes them more expensive!). We recommend them for all moves. However, if your move is a short one and you are doing the moving yourself, medium boxes can be substituted for dish boxes (this saves a little money). Dish boxes come without any of the 'extras' that are designed for them. These extras are found on the Moving Supplies page and can be purchased separately. Yes, the smaller dish box is more expensive then the larger one. This is out of our control. However, many people like the smaller dish box as it has handles cut into the sides and is lighter (when packed) than the large dish box.
